Max & Caroline's Williamsburg Apartment- 2 Broke Girls

2 Broke Girls is a quirky comedy series about two broke twenty-something's living and working in the trendy area Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Real life best friends Max (Kat Dennings) and Caroline(Beth Behrs) meet while waitressing at the Williamsburg diner owned by a tiny man who is often made fun of. Caroline and Max are two girls from very different backgrounds and upbringings but come together to start a cupcake business and be room-mates.
The show is very funny as was created by comedian Whitney Cummings and Sex in the City producer Michael Patrick King. Scenes are filmed around the diner and in Max and Caroline's apartment. Production designers Glenda Rovello and Amy Feldman worked hard to create an apartment worthy of '2 broke girls'.

The Exterior

The Living Area/Caroline's Bedroom

A screen cap from when Caroline first sees the apartment and comments 'OMG YOU'VE BEEN ROBBED'.
The apartment is painted a sea foam green and covered with art, posters and napkins with drawings from a friend/flirtation of Season 1 Johnny. The apartment gives off a very boho, vintage and colourful vibe matching Max' colourful personality. The pillows are always changing and give off a lived in look. You can find some of Max's huge art collection on the website https://www.etsy.com/shop/herodesignstudio.
Further into the series we notice the apartment beings to notice little aspects of Caroline's personality being added to the apartment. Caroline adds a Murphy bed into the living/kitchen area which is seen covered in red and pinks.
One of my favourite parts of the set is this 'gallery' type wall that are displaying racks of CD's, artwork and road/registration plate signs. You can find props from the show on the website : http://chasingprops.com/tvshows/2-broke-girls

The Kitchen area

The kitchen is where Max makes cupcakes to sell at the diner, Max is often stood at the turquoise island style table where her cake tools can be seen. The back wall of the kitchen is lined with shelves of kitchen tools and ingredients. I love the exposed brick and titled area behind the sink and oven. The oven is another love of mine, the purple blue star oven that Max has been dreaming of and eventually purchases.

The Backyard

Caroline's show horse Chestnut who lived in the back yard in Season 1. Caroline tells Max it's a nice place to do crack.

Max's Bedroom

Max's room is a very colourful and cosy, Max' home made headboard made of three teal cushions is very eye catching. Above Max' bed is more of artwork some possibly drawn by herself.
